Keith’s Cacao
What is Cacao?
Cacao is a superfood in its purest form, made from the beans of the Theobroma Cacao tree. These beans are the key ingredient in chocolate and are the sole component of our 100% Pure Ceremonial Grade Cacao. It’s important to note that while 'cacao' and 'cocoa' are often used interchangeably, they are not the same. Many chocolate and cocoa products are heavily processed, losing valuable nutrients. Our cacao is a whole food, preserving the cacao butter and the nutritional and spiritual benefits that nature intended.
What Makes Keith's Cacao Special?
Many cacao products claim to be healthy, but they can be overly processed and high in caffeine, which may not benefit your body and mind. Keith's Cacao is different; we source our beans for their energetic and spiritual properties rather than high yield. Our cacao beans are low in caffeine and rich in compounds that promote heart opening, mental clarity, and deeper connections. We hand-process our beans to maintain their potency, and each batch is double-checked to ensure only the finest beans make it into our cacao. Handcrafted in San Marcos la Laguna, Guatemala, our cacao supports over 30 families in the community.
Nutrition Info
Keith's Cacao has about the same caffeine level as a decaf coffee—less than 5 mg per 1-ounce serving. We select beans that are naturally low in caffeine but high in theobromine, a gentle stimulant that enhances energy, focus, and mood without a crash. Our cacao is gluten-free, vegan, and packed with nutrients. Each serving provides over 100 mg of magnesium, essential for relaxation and muscle recovery, along with more than 750 mg of flavanols for heart and brain health.
How to Prepare It
To enjoy Keith’s Cacao, start by breaking your solid block into small pieces using a large knife. For one serving, combine 28 grams (1 oz) of chopped cacao with about 200 ml (6 oz) of hot water (not boiling). Add your favorite sweeteners or spices—try honey, coconut oil, cinnamon, or cayenne. Stir using a whisk, milk frother, or blender for a smooth texture. Pour into your favorite cup and savor your cup of love.
What Makes it Ceremonial?
Keith began his journey with cacao in 2003 and found it challenging to find high-quality options for personal growth. He created his own cacao with a commitment to quality, purity, and potency, which he named Ceremonial Grade. This special cacao is carefully sourced and minimally processed, ensuring it is low in caffeine and high in compounds that support personal and spiritual development. Please note that other products labeled "Ceremonial" may not meet these high standards.
